Vision

Our vision is to see God glorified and His kingdom come among all nations by equipping the saints for the work of ministry.”

(1 Corinthians 10:31; Matthew 6:9-12; Ephesians 4:12-13)

Values

  • Prayer

We delight to worship God in Spirit and in Truth through corporate and personal prayer.

  • Gospel Transformation

We trust in God’s transforming grace in our lives, relationships, neighborhoods, and world.

We honor God through the giving of our best in all areas of our lives.

  • Grace

God’s grace satisfies the needs of our souls and we trust in his grace and not in our goodness.

We will use our gifts to serve others and build up the body of Christ for his glory.

  • Missions

We seek opportunities to share the Gospel locally and abroad.

We obediently pursue opportunities for evangelism in our communities and relationships.

  • Commitment to Truth

We unashamedly proclaim the timeless truth of the Gospel to the community and culture in which God has placed us.

Beliefs

Redeemer Church is a community of believers who follow their risen savior, Jesus Christ.
Our theological beliefs are best expressed in the creeds of the Reformed tradition of Protestantism, specifically:

Core Values Expanded…

Core values are often unwritten assumptions that guide our actions. They demonstrate our convictions and priorities and are confirmed by our actions not just our words. Values are not a doctrinal statement; they are convictions that determine how our church operates. They provide the foundation for formulating goals and setting the direction for the church’s ministry. In sum, they are the key statements that reflect the distinctives of Redeemer Church.

  • We believe that reverent, intimate,  personal and corporate worship and prayer is central in the life of the believer and the local church. Worship and prayer that glorifies God — both in daily life and the regular Sabbath gathering of the church — is the natural response of the believer to the grace of God.  We desire to facilitate participatory corporate and family worship and prayer experiences that give God glory, honor and praise, that open the way for authentic encounters with Him and that bring great delight! We value contemporary, traditional and historic expressions of worship as a fuller, richer expression of the church past, present and future.  (Ps 22:27; 102:22; Rom 12:1)

  • We believe that through the Gospel of Jesus Christ, God transforms individual lives, relationships with others, communities and culture. This conviction brings confidence and hope, challenges us to boldness and courage, and calls us to trust and prayer.  Because of this confidence in God’s transforming grace, we want to dream big dreams and be involved in ministries of extension, transformation, and multiplication. (Gen 1-3; Gal 3; Col 2:6-7)
  • We believe that excellence and full submission to the Lordship of Jesus Christ in all areas honors God and inspires people. We believe God is worthy of our best. Therefore, a growing spirit of excellence, integrity, and purpose should permeate our worship, and all our ministries.  (Prov 27:17; Mal 1:6-14; Col 3:17)
  • We believe that God’s Grace permeates every aspect of our lives together. Whether a person is a mature believer, a young Christian or a seeker, God’s grace speaks to the heart and satisfies the soul.  Everything that we do will announce and present grace rather than law and legalism.  We intend to communicate a warm, winsome and caring Reformed faith.  (Zech 12:10; John 1:16; Acts 4:33; Rom 1:5; 5:15; 1 Cor 15:10)
  • We believe that the Christian life is best lived in a loving community. As the Persons of the Trinity exist in perfect community, so the Christian life was never meant to be a solitary experience.  But community is not something that just happens.  It requires a lot of work, humility and sacrifice.  Community implies accountability with one another, a sense of responsibility to care for and support and guide each other.  We will encourage everyone to be in a small group and we will structure all ministries around teams. (Neh 3; Ps 133:1; Luke 10:1; John 13:34-35; 17; Acts 2:44-47; 1 Cor 13)
  • We believe that God calls every believer to whole-hearted discipleship and stewardship of their gifts and talents. A church full of Christians who are running hard after God, living with intent as His children and using their gifts to extend His Kingdom, brings God great glory and is a powerful witness to the world.  We are eager to see every Christian live as a gospel-centered learner, minister, evangelist, and steward. (Rom 12; 1 Cor 12, 14; Eph 4; Phil 1:6; Heb 12:1)
  • We believe that the local church is a mission outpost. It is impossible to separate the Christian life from mission and harvest.  As a mission outpost, the church and its members actively seek ways to penetrate the community and individual lives with the Gospel of grace.  (John 20:19–22; Luke 24:36–49; the entire book of Acts)
  • We recognize that we are all broken people, and therefore we believe that lost and marginalized people matter to God, and consequently ought to matter to the church. Since everyone is made in God’s image, and God loved us so much that He went to great lengths to save a rebellious people for Himself, we in turn desire to see all people exposed to this Good News, repent, embrace Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, and be adopted into God’s family, the church. This approach includes the concepts of relational evangelism, process evangelism, and mercy/justice engagement. (Micah 6:8; Matt 15:14; 23:23; Luke 5:30-32)
  • We believe that the church should lovingly and actively engage the culture while remaining doctrinally pure. We do not need to sacrifice either biblical truth or cultural relevance.  All of our ministries will be in the “vernacular,” speaking directly to the immediate cultures and people without compromising scripture or theology. (Acts 17; 1 Cor 9:19-23; 1 Tim 4:16; Titus 2:1)
